I am in reciept of benefits at the moment, and my partner has just been layed off from work.......
Could anyone advise me on how to put down in my I&E that my partner has £40 per week for his own bills and csa payments etc?
My money only went up by £40 when we made a joint claim, i am the main claiment too, so all the money is paid to me.
Any advise or help would be great......... THANKS |

Hi
As your household income is only made up of benefits, I wouldn't worry too much about the specifics as you won't be subject to an IPA/IPO. Probably the best way to do it though would be to put just your income in as the £40 increase as a result of a joint claim is being used to cover your partner's bills.

Thanks for the reply suzanne.
Could i put the total income, then add a note or proof of income from DSS to explain the situation?
Would i need proof of what my partner has to pay at all?
Sorry for the silly questions but i am working on my SOA and want to make sure its correct.
Thanks again |

Hi Demmidot04,
Is it just you going BR or both of you?

We both are eventually, but most probably not on the same day. As soon as the funds are available, we will go for it! |

Hi Demmidot04,
The key here is in the wording of the SOA. It asks for your partner's contribution, not their income. His debts do not need to be proved on your SOA.
