Hi again all,
Another question from me.
Do we still list our house as an asset even though it is in negative equity and we will soon be handing back the keys?
Thanks.

Hi CG
yes you do, both in the secured section and the unsecured section so that the shortfall once the property is sold will be captured in your BR.

My engagment ring was lost a year or so ago and the insurance paid out for another which i think was £250 about 18 months ago, that is the most expensive piece i have. I did not put it down as its my engagment ring. I also did not list household items as all we have is cooker, washing machine and such like nothing on its own is worth over £150 now. Dont know if i have helped. R ur nerves kicking in a bit now. U will be fine, honestly.

Yeah they are. My engagement ring was bought for about £1400 but it was 4 years ago now. From experience, they go down in value quite rapidly. I was engaged once before and the ring cost £1000. When we split up, I tried to sell it, and nobody would give me morethan £250 for it! So I guess I don't need to worry really?
Thanks

CG, I seriously would not put them in, we all have wedding, engagement and i bet you also have like me an eternity ring. I was married to my OH before so i have the original engagement and wedding rings from then too. They are a bit like my number plate sentimental value to me and me only. I know as time gets nearer as its Weds your hearing then the worries really do set in with the what ifs and the should I but i would not worry too much about things. It all be over soon enough and you will be like me advising on how it all went and what you did and be able to help others in tha same boat even more as you would have been through it and come through the other side. Good luck mate.

Thank you Jo.
About the number plate, mine's worth the same as yours and John (I think!) said I didn't need to declare it so I wasn't planning to. What do you think?

I did and i am glad i did, i felt really guilty as my OR said its an asset. I called her and explained as i did not write it in, but like she said they find out anyhow, so she asked me how much it was worth and i said 200 - 250 she then said do i want to make an offer, so i offered 50 and it was accepted. To be honest if its worth only 250 i would tell them. I am so glad i did, John said to me not to worry, but i think Julian said too, so i did and now thats one less thing to worry about.

Hi CG
Its my pleasure. I know its a difficult a time at present but you will be through this sooner than you think. I cant wait to see your posting on Weds to say that you have done it and now your BR. Take care, it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks ONCE again Jo!!
On the list of creditors on the SoA it says 'Amount Owing', then it says 'what was the debt for?' THEN it says 'What is its preset value?' What's this? Present value of what? Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Hi i just put in the balance that is owing. Where it asks for what debt was used for i put general household expenses or home improvements.

Thank you!
So did you just leave the bit blank that says,'What is its present value?'
