Hi,
I'm hoping somebody can help me,I'm a little confused as to where I stand.
I was discharged on 24th Aug this year, but I am subject to an IPA which finishes in Nov 2010.
i am looking into changing my job, however I currently have a company car, and will obviously lose this when I leave. The positions tha tI will be applying for require a lot of travelling and they don't supply a comapny car, so I will need to get one.
My parents ahve offered to help me and I can pay them £50 per month for it, until my IPA is finished. I just have to pay everything else.
Now a new job will be for a higher salary, and I don't want to reduce my IPA payment, I may even be able to increase it, but I need to be able to have car payments - to parents, insurance, fuel, tax, repairs etc - taken into consideration when my IPA is reviewed based on my new salary.
I need to know if this is possible, as I am eager to progress my career, and now is the time to do it. I don't want to have to wait until 2010. Without a car I am limited to what I can apply for, and in what areas.
I would be so grateful for any advice.
I have already written to my IP to ask, but I thought I might get an idea more quickly from here.
Thanks in advance.
Marianne

Hi Marianne
I cant see that being a problem, you just inform the OR that you need to change the I&E form and then the IPA will adjust.
As long as they know i would say it would be fine.
Maybe someone else will be able to offer more advice and if im wrong correct me, if its your parents buying it then like you said you dont even have to mention to the OR that your paying the £50 per month take it out of your DI and then inform the OR that you have been given a vehicle and that you have the duty to keep it on the road. If im wrong someone will correct me no doubt. Good luck

Hi Marianne,
As Jo says, if you speak to the OR (you are obliged to let them know about any changes in your personal circumstances), they can amend your IPA accordingly.
