Well, thats it then, all done. Got to court at 9.20, papers were checked and we both swore the oath on the bible (and paid the cash) Went into the waiting room and was called by the judge. (We went in together which was a great help to us both) She asked if we had taken any advice and we told here we had. I was declared BR at 10.00am and OH at 10.02am on the 10/9/08 (just wondering where 7,6,5 etc are Went back downstairs and waited 15 mins for the forms to be typed. Had telephne call with the OR for 35 mins and we have an appointment to go and see them on Monday at 9.30am. This is great as well so at least we will not have to wait in limbo until the interview. I feel like a 15 year old again (that was the last time I was debt free)Out and away by 11.00am to start our new lives. Hope it went as well for you CG. |

Well done Harbourmaster. I'm glad things went well for you. At least you don't have to wait too long for your interview. I went bankrupt on the 15th August and my interview isn't until the 18th September!

Hi H
congratulations!! It's a very strange but liberating feeling isn't it.
Ironically you are now one of the safest bets for any lender as you owe nothing to anyone.
The material things may go, but peace of mind and a strong family........no amount of money can buy that.

Hi H
fingers crossed you find it but wouldn't there be a copy held elsewhere? Land registry or your solicitor?

Thanks Jo, your help and kind word shave certainly helped us both. The OR has told my wife that she will see us together first, then we wil break for lunch and resume 1:1 after lunch. Looks as though it will be a long day! Its then we will need a drink. |
