Hi Richie
this depends upon which country you are now in, and how long you hve been living there. Please advise.
If you are in the "right" country then you can eother fly back to the UK and petition at the high court yourself.
Alternatlively you can speak to a Bankruptcy Assistance company who can prepare a legal document which would allow them to represent you in the UK courts.
The court fee alone in London is £507.

Hi
yes you can petition for Br while living in NZ.
So either you need to return to the UK and DIY it yourself or find a bankruptcy assistance company to represent you in the High Court through a Lasting Power of Attorney.

Okay, so how do I begin the process with a bankruptcy assistance company (such as yours) to represent me in the High Court through a Lasting Power of Attorney. What information do I need to gather etc?
Thanks R |

Hi
Sorry to jump in on this thread. I believe a company called Myvesta offer a Foreign Bankrutpcy Service also for a charge of £600 on top of the £507 Court Fee.
I am not sure if anyone else offers this service - apologies if they do. |

You are absolutely right they do offer a postal service.
The services offered by the experts here - Brett Englands company also offer the service- on the forum are significanlty different. a little like comparing BUPA with the NHS.

I agree HM i think that the other experts on here are a great source of information and advice and i also think that should be anyones first port of call when dealing with any debt worries or the thoughts of BR that may have sprung to mind. Sometimes it is better to have a verbal conversation as you can gain so much more from that, and as you know the call is free from the UK but they always call you back and the advice they give is genuine and up to date. Richie, give them a call.
