Hi all,

Just before we wet BR we decreased all our contracts for things like Sky etc (for obvious reasons!) and we did the same with our mobile phones, opting for a minimal mothly tariff. The network provider suggested we trade in old phones to get some money back to cover the old contracts, which we will still have to pay (the new phone company will pay some, and the rest we were to get from trading in ian's old phone. We are now BR as you know, and the money for the phone has not yet arrived in his cashminder account, but we expect it to any time. My question is when it arrives can ian use it as he planned to or will the OR want this money? It's £110.

Thanks in advance!

Hi CG
it's too small an amount for you to worry about and you still have to contribute to the contract so use it for that.

Obviously the OR does not get copied in on your monthly bank statements so it is almost certain to go unnoticed. As I said, the amount is not sufficient to concern yourself about it.

Thanks John!

I'll stop worrying about that then! (Hmmm what can I find to worry about instead! ;-) )
