Hi, I''m considering going bankrupt but am worried about my car. It is worth about £3500 trade but its LPG which saves me about £150 a month on petrol costs. I would lose my job without a car and can''t afford to move closer to work (I''m a QC chemist and all the jobs are in london or Cambridge where housing is expensive, a job closer to home would lose me £5000p/a so travelling is best!). Does anyone know if an OR wold let me keep my car based on this info?
I would say that you should be ok, the worst they would do is ask you to get a proper valuation, then is they feel its slightly over get someone to pay the diference BI.
I think some on here had cars valued at that and kept them once the OR knew how you need the car.
I think im right, if im not i dare say someone will correct me.
Good luck and keep posting.
