good luck. BR may be the right option but, of couse, there are lots of issues you need to get clear first.

you may find that a coop cashminder account (card with visa electron - better than hsbc basic, anyway) or a nationwide basic account are BR-friendly. I had mine prior to Br and - now undischarged - I still have them.

Yes, no wonder there are so many debt problems when people who are not interested in taking out loans are beeing pestered to take one out.

i am not joking. One time a few years ago my wife went into a bank to draw out £20 and came out with a £200 limit credit card and a £5000 loan! She was actually talked into it by the staff! It
was the start of all her debt problems...
