Hi All....I am now officially BR!!

Well what a morning, i think ive felt every emotion going today.

I got to the court for 11.45 (app was for 12) and waited till about 12.20 to see the clerk (he was still dealing with the case before mine). He checked all forms and i signed and swore on the bible.

At 12.45 was told to have a walk outside as i probably wouldnt be called until 1.15....so glad i didnt go far as i was just walking back upstairs when he was coming to let me know they were ready.

Up until this point i was fine....but.....as soon as i walked into the room where the judge is i started to cry. I apologised and she said she understood as this must have been a very stressful time. She asked me a few questions and then adjudged BR.

The clerk took my back down to a side room where he phoned the OR's office - they asked me if there was any account in credit which i wanted to keep, i told him which ones and he said he would write to them to let them know they are not interested in the accounts and booked a telephone interview for next Tuesday at 11.00 am !!!

I can not believe how straight forward it was - i know i cried, however, i think that was the build up, and now feel like i could do cartwheels and just scream with joy. I realise i have still got the OR to deal with, however now i can let my creditors know.

Siobhan and everyone else who has got an impending BR - Please know its not all bad....honest!!

Im going to check on Jayne now, cant wait to see what her post says.

Hi Jenny,

I'm here!

I have posted (just underneath yours). I'm really relieved its over but feel numb.

I was exactly the same as you with the Judge - she was quite young and really really lovely.

We have to wait to hear from our OR - it says they will contact us within 3 hours (nothing as yet although I'm glad because I'm at work. Hubby is off today so he may hear before me).

I am absolutely dreading OR - mainly because we have a large secured loan on our house and I don't want them to tell me I have to move out. I love where I live and everything about it. I said to my husband last night that my biggest worry after today is that everything is now out of our hands.

Anyway, I know that whatever will happen will ultimately be best for us so will just have to go with the flow.

I will no longer worry about the phone ringing or how many letters I am going home to - wonderful!

Here's to the next step together!!!!1
