i am about to go bankrupt. part of my debt is a career development loan. does this count as a student loan that will not be discharged with bankruptcy?
I would have thought that would be the same as any other creditor but without further enquiries i cant give you a def ans right now, so if you dont mind i want to check it out and get back to you.
I will try and get the answer as soon as i can.

Hi well as promised i have a little more info on this for you so, you'd need to check the agreement to see if it's a normal bank loan (included in BR) or a government-backed loan (excluded from BR).
Hope that helps

I had a Professional Studies Loan with HSBC and that was included in my Bankruptcy....so I imagine that yours would be as well - as it comes from the Bank doesnt it....the Student Loans Company are an individual company.
I would phone up the company (anonomously) you have the CDL with and just ask them.
