I was BR on 16th September, during interview OR told me file was under further investigations and haven't heard anything since. Now however my husband and i have split, i have had to apply for tax credit/working tax credit and my husband (who has no obligation to pay anything towards my two children) has agreed to pay half of the rent and TV/broadband/Phone for the kids as well as their PAYG credit on their mobiles. Do I have to redo I & E part of SOA and send with covering letter to OR (i dont want to speak to him if possible as he had me in tears during interview and thus increased anxiety and depression (resulting in split with husband)?
I feel like this is never ending and was worried enough now I'm even worse.

Your husband DOES have responsibility for your children in law, by marrying you whether or not they are biologically his.

Maybe you should wait until you know exactly what you have coming in?

I agree with RHB

It may be best to get all the figures sorted out then contact the OR.

I do hope that your ok though, like you said its bad enough going through the BR and now you have this to contend with.

We are all here for you:-)

Take Care

Hello there,

We are going through a split at the moment but I still have not told OR as I dont yet have an accurate I&E to submit. I have though started to recieve addidtional tax credits and I am in the process of switching bank accounts. Should have figures in about one months time. Bit worried that OR may pick up on it and ask why they were not informed, but I'll just tell the truth, I didnt know whether I was coming or going and wanted to wait until I was certain on I&E to avoid unnecessary paperwork. Hope he understands (thats if he realises before I tell him!).

Please try not to worry too much. BR can have some much deeper consequences, and I'm sure that your OR has seen this happen before.
Take care x
