Hello,

I have recently received my Credit Report, I am due to be discharged in 2 weeks time and want to send all the letters out to my creditos and to the credit agencies so they can amend my report accordingly.

My question is, has anyone else found that some of their debts from their bankruptcy have not shown up on the report....what does this mean? I have a Marbles loan, a Virgin Credit Card, a MBNA Credit card - none of these appeared on there....what should I do?

Thanks

Have you applied for all 3 credit reports (Experian, Equifax and Callcredit)? I found that some debts show on one report but not the others and vice versa.

Hi Skippy,

No I just applied for the Experian one. Although I have been trawling their website and it said that some are just not listed on there as the companies have just not informed the credit agencies.

But when I am discharged and get my Certificate of Discharge, should i still send it to all of my creditors and all three of the Credit Agencies - do you think?

I know you are still in the process of doing this, it's hard getting all the addresses together!

Hi 369

I would get hold of each of your files Experian, Equifax and Callcredit and go through them.

As like Skippy has said not all show each account but you do need to see what you have and where and make sure your status and file are updated.

Best of luck

I didn't bother with a copy of my discharge certificate, I just printed the notification from the Insolvency Register. I've been sending it to my creditors with a letter asking them to amend the default date to no later than the date I went BR, and also to mark the account as satisfied or partially satisfied.

I haven't sent a copy to the credit agencies as the information Experian and Equifax held for me was correct - they showed I was discharged on 29th March 2008. I have re-ordered my credit files as I want to see who has played ball and who hasn't, as not all of my creditors replied.

I may have to send a copy to Callcredit as they had me down as being BR twice on the same day in different parts of the country with the same BR reference number! I'm going to make sure they haven't corrected it since I first applied.

That is trully a great effort from Call Credit.

I will speak to Julian as perhaps we can get a self help info download for folks at the end of the Br period. After all whilst you have been discharged unless everyone knows it will still effect you.

Whats the difference between satisfied and partially satisfied Skippy? Surely if you are discharged it would be satisfied?

Callcredit are rubbish, and I'm not looking forward to having a fight with them to get it corrected! The worrying thing is that they sell the information on to other agencies like Annualcreditreport.

It would be good if there could be a section about this as to be honest I didn't have a clue what to do. I found the information and template letter on another forum, so if we could make this a 'one stop shop' it would be great. If my experience can help in any way let me know.

Natwest explained that they can't mark the account as satisfied because I didn't actually repay the money, therefore they can only mark it as partially satisfied - I don't owe it, but it wasn't repaid. I've checked and they are correct to do it this way, although it's at the discretion of the lender.
