I have already gone br back in October. I have opened a cashminder account with the co-op even though they were one of my creditors in br. If I put money into the new account would they be able to take it towards the old debt?

Hi

they are not allowed to do that so the money is safe from them.

Hi Nowayout

I dont think they can. I had the same problem with Santander and Abbey.

The old car loan was with Santander and my new Abbey account is also part of Santander. I was assured by them they wont be able to touch the monies in that account so i carried on using it.

I would not worry, if you are woried i would give them a call but i thinkyou will be fine:-)

I've read about other people being able to bank with the Co-op when they were one of their creditors so I don't think you'll have a problem.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

You may remember that I asked some time ago about our £500 caravan?
