Hi tourborat,

I'm not an expert, and I am sure someone else will be along shortly to tell you if I am wrong, but I would say the following:

My husband and I went bankrupt in July and things may have changed, but for food, toiletries and cleaning were we allowed a maximum of £276, we were also only allowed £20 for our pets (which only just covered our insurance and overspend had to come out of our food/toiletry budget).
You will have to cut back on luxuries, so I don't think you will be able to claim anything for holidays or for a window cleaner and you may have to justify why you need clothes dry cleaned (if it is essential for your work you may get away with it, but otherwise you may have to cut back there too).
With the hairdressers my husband and I, as a couple were allowed a maximum of £10. We were also allowed only £14 for the dentist.

However, these can be made up in other areas, we were allowed £130 for fuel/travel, £50 each for gas and electric and £40 for water. We were also allowed £30 for entertainment/emergencies.

I hope this helps.

Thanx guys.

Should I get rid of the papers & window cleaner and add/adjust the others mentioned? Would they want proof of these or are these figures which should be accepted?

Thanks

Basically i have written the guidelines, the main thing is to make sure you put what you actually spend.

As you know some things wont be accepted but if you dont ask you dont get. If asked for proof then make sure you can prove it, its no good saying that you spend say £150 on council tax but when asked you only spend £110 if that makes sense but at the same time the cost of living is going up so you dont want to be out of pocket and end up in debt again.

This is the revised list. All utilities are as accurate as possible, food, clothes, travelling, holiday etc are estimates as this is what we usually spend over a month and acounting for what might be needed.
Let me know what you think anyway as I am very nervous about getting it right as the day is getting ever closer!! This time next week the deed will be done!!

Hi Turborat

I would say leave it at that. It looks fine, the car insurance cost add into the MOT one as i have as you dont get a lot of space etc.

Take care

OOps, Sorry, missed reading your earlier list Jo. What would be required to have proof for from that list?

I would not worry about being asked for proof. Just send in any copies of utility bills if asked.
Not long now and it will soon be over.
Take care
