i am 22 and scared of going bankrupt i got myself in to a real mess of £12,000 and am on benefits as i am currently studing at college theroefore i only get £400 a month which i have to support a child off. is bankruptcy my only solution as baliffs are knocking my door now and can i get help with the cost of going bankrupt as i do not want to have to try to get a loan to cover this. please help!!!!
You need to get a plan in place to either deal with the debts via a debt management plan - where you may pay perhaps only a few pounds each month until the situation improves.
Alternatively you could look at Br. The costs for court are £495 - however you may well be entitled to an exemption for some of the fees due to your income. this would reduce the total fees to £345.
I would recommend you speak to someone first to identify what solutions are available and how you proceed from here.
