I was speaking to my best friend the other night who I had not seen for some time. I had not mentioned my bankruptcy to him but, but he said he met someone who I had worked with for 28 years at the same firm. They told him that I had gone bankrupt and I had also died because they saw it in the paper. I agreed with him on the bankruptcy but I assured my friend that I was still alive because I was sitting next to him.
If the word was going to come out that I had gone bankrupt, then i always thought it would come from someone I had worked with for 28 years, because i worked with some nosey sods.

Oh well at least those nosey sods can suffer now as they more than likely are jealous of the fact you did something about your debts and they are more than likely still strugling (Hee hee)

Well i hope it wasn;t as painful experience as you imagined when someone mentioned it to you. I told my best friend a month after i did the deed and she was fantastic - your true friends will shine through the bad now DR.....
And thank god you are very much alive 
Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)
From "Moneyworries" to "Movin On" in 3 months is fantastic :-))

I felt anger more than anything else against the blabber mouths, do gooders, call them what you like who take great pleasure in seeing peoples downfalls. If I had seen the person who I think told my friend about this then i think I would have had a right go at him.
Any way not bothered who else knows and people have got short memories and as zamfir said these big mouths will be talking about someone else next week.

Good on you DR and well said Zamfir......i am sure they will no doubt have debt problems of their own and are ashamed. You handle it with your head held high DR and at least you didnt bury your head

People lead such sad lives that they have to spend their entire working day talking about someone else' downfalls. They are NOT real friends, just nosey parkers who relish in bad news.
Today's news, tomorrows fish & chip paper as they say!!! |
