Dear Sirs,
Is it true that it's still possible to have bank account whilst being Bankrupt? Also apart from credit are there any other limitations to bankruptcy? I ask this as i am looking at what choices i have though it is not absolutely necessary to file for Bankruptcy yet or at all.

Thank you
Kind Regards,
Steven Trehan

Hi StevendT and welcome to the forum.

Yes, once BR, you can get a basic bank account. The most popular choice seems to be the Co-Op Cashminder account.

Whilst undischarged, you cannot be a director of a limited company, hold public office or get credit for more than £500 without DISCLOSING the fact you are an undischarged bankrupt. There are more restrictions which can be found in the information centre/insolvency service website.
