my mother in law has just bought a car for us to use, but my husband has had to be the registered keeper on the log book to be able to insure the vehicle, will this be ok with the OR ?

and also ubby is just about to sell his van to my stepdad to raise money for the BR in 2 weeks time, it will be sold for the correct price with reciepts to justify, will this be ok too ?

Hi

If Mum in law purchased the car ( not just gave you the money to buy a car ) then she is the owner and you are just the registered keeper.

There is also ne reason why you cannot sell the van for a realistic price to get the money for court. If the van is worth more then the OR will need to know where the excess has gone

Hi Jo

It wont be long now and mine is about 5 months since we did the deed and to be honest i was s***ing bricks right up until the actual court day but somehow i worried for nothing. It was not as bad as I MADE it out to be, but the stress of the past, the building up to it and then the day of the hearing took its toll on me about 2-3 weeks later. It is a mix of all emotions that somehow come together when you least expect them, this site got me through.

The friends i made on here supported me through the whole process and they still support me now, as dont get me wrong i still have moments, i am only human you know but as time has gone by and quickly i might add things have sorted themselves out and i do now finally feel free. If that makes sense.

The OR just asks general questions, all the info that is on your form really. They need to build a picture for the creditors so that when they write to them about your bankruptcy they have a better insight to what happened. Dont be scared by that thought if the interview, it is not a scary process, infact after i spoke to my OR on the day of my court hearing i was put at ease and so will you.

You have to live life to the full, dont regret the past live to the future. Ours lives are so short and money is only paper at the end of the day and those who lend us the money are as much to blame as us, but unlike us they wont go to bed at night and still be awake worrying till the early hours about the bills etc.

Enjoy your life, your family, it will all be ok. Look at me, i am happier than i have been in years and this christmas i have NO debts from paying for the gifts, its very liberating.

You take care and have a great new year.

We are all here for you. If you want a contact number for me i can ask admin or the helpline to pass it over to you.

LOL
