I have a debt i cant mangage of £51,000. i want to declare bankruptcy, how do i go about doing it?

Hi Jeremy,

The first thing to do is to read the guides in the menu on the left. Secondly, you might want to read the information on the insolvency website (http://www.insolvency.gov.uk , and then ask loads of questions on here.

Actually, the first thing to do is understand that you are not alone, there are thousands of people in the same boat, there is no need to worry!

Feel free to ask loads of questions, this forum is packed with a wealth of experience and a fair few insolvency experts.

A bit more information will also help in providing advice, such as whether you own your own house, employed / self employed, secured or unsecured debts, etc...
