Hi, After redundancy 18 months ago, follwed by the failure of our new business recently my husband & I are in a complete financial mess not to put too finer point on it, and now have absolutely no money but benefits.
Could anyone advise as to how we raise the court fees for bankrupsy (we''ve already sold anything of any value to try and keep our business going - and just ended up with more creditors)?

Many thanks,

yours in desperation :o)

Lisa.

Hi Lisa (Dollydimple)
Welcome. I call my baby girl DollyDimple because she has just one cute dimple on her left cheek....but I digress!

Sorry to hear what you and hubby are facing. Seems all too common these days, unfortunately.

As you are both on benefits you are entitled to help with the fee, not sure how much though. Most people like myself, stop paying creditors for a few months to raise the fee, could you do this? Or perhaps approach a relative?

Hi

I would suggest that you make a call to either the helpline or another assisted bankruptcy company to review your income & expenditure carefully.

You would be surprised where one can find money from.

Additionally if you are on benefits then you mak be able to claim some exemption which would mean £345 each rather than £495 each
