how do secured debts become UN-secured ?

Hi Jo

For example you had a car loan, the car was classed as secured debt/lending, you then have the car taken and so the debt is now unsecured as you no longer have the car but still have the debt.

Does that make sense.

does that go the same for a secured loan on my house as i am in the throws of giving up my house under VR ?

Yes

Indeed it does Jo. Make sure you put them both under the secured and unsecured sections on the SoA.

oh thanks again jo, i was begining to panick about it, i dont know where i read it now, but had read that secured debt wasnt coverd by BR, so was worried it all over again !!!
