Welcome to the Forum
I went BR this week as well,
so lets hope it will be a Happy Debt free new Year.
From what I have read there should be no probs with the house, Your wife will probaly be able to buythe BI in the house fo £1 and a fee,
I'm sure the experts will correct me if I;m Wrong

All the best

Hi badgered

Well congrats on being debtfree:-)

With regard to he house as Leakie has said once you supply valuations and can clearly show that your house is now in Neg equity then you or your wife can buy the BI for the nominal sum of a £1 plus there costs of £211.

If there is equity then your wife would be the only one who can put the offer forward.

Best of luck and welcome to our club ;-)
