Great idea. I'm sure there's loads to share on where to get the best deals, and how to live on less. |

Hi Guys
Just reading this and thought i would add in my money saving tip.
In my house i used to buy food for the sake of it when i went out thinking that i needed stuff when infact when i got home i found i already had one or more stuck away in a cupboard or a freezer, so, with that in mind i started a new regime.
It may sound totally mad to some but i have found i have saved money and time by doing this and it makes me more organised and also gives my OH a chance to sort some meals out too, whilst also saving me money when i go shopping thus leaving us some extra pennies to buy some treats too.
Here goes, i make up a weekly household menu and when i do my shopping i follow the menu and make sure that i only buy for the meals on there and i also make sure that i change it week by week but i also add in for the kids packed lunches and treats too.
I know it sounds crazy but my OH cannot think what meals go together and this way i keep everyone happy they know what they are getting at night/lunch time and also when im poorly my OH now can put a meal together as its all listed.
My kids love it and for me when i have to get the dinner ready i go to the board and know exactly what i have to make and i know i have all the stuff there to make it.
Honestly as sad as it may sound it does work, that way you buy what your gonna use no more no less.
LOL

Love the menu idea, will give it a try.
My other favourite is 'skype' if you have a computer and access to the net. You download 'skype', takes a couple of mins, and then you can make free phone calls anywhere in the world (providing you are calling someone who also has skype).
I use it all the time and I got my family in Ireland all on it, and some friends in the states. It's completely free and works really well. You can even buy a cheap webcam and then when you call people they can see you. (If using webcam remember to get dressed before you make that call!! I kid you not!)

Glad you liked.
The below site gives away a free piece of licenced software every day. You can also get free games. Just check it every day to see what they are offering. Some of it is very useful.

Another tip for those who love computer gaming. We took 18 old games back to 'Game' last week, ones that we will not play again. They took the games to sell on as 'preowned' and gave us a gift card with £79 on it to buy more. We bought 'preowned' and when we've played those to death we'll swap them in again.
And just for Paul @ Reviva - http://www.lightinthebox.com/producttags/Ferrari-Miniature-1-18/

Thanks M&M
I may give that a go, im all for saving money etc. I have in my blog some more info on how to save money on your electric bill, household washing and a few other things.
I use an Eco Kettle that has saved me loads since i bought it and i also use refillable wash balls, have done since April and not bought wash powder since or had to refill them yet, they cost me £10 for the 2 and they are still going strong.
I also use Dryer balls that has saved on drying time, keeps clothes soft and i dont have to use a fabric conditioner.
LOL
