Hi guys

I have my forms delivered today and having a panic attack already, I cant afford to pay a company to help so hope someone on here can help.

The nearest court to me is going to be newcastle however my business is right on the scottish boarder. I have managed to get a rented house in durham sorted out,

My question is, I have been told today I will have to meet the OR on court day. What will this entail, will I have an interview that day and will we all have to go back up to the business together or not. My only worry is we will have to travel over the hour long journey to the business then I will then have to try and get back down from the business bakc to my rented house in durham.

Im so scared about court date and now what the OR will do on the day?

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Not sure if you mean they are saying you will have your interview with the examiner on the same day you petition your bankruptcy in the court. It may turn out you just get the bankruptcy order on the day and an examiner interview at a later date, probably on the phone. In all likelihood you would need to be at the court, or nearby, for most of the day as you would probably submit your form then wait a while for a judge to stamp the form for the order.

If you do get the OR interview on the day he/she will probably go thorugh your petition line by line and so you would be able to anticipate his questions as you went along. They usually don't deliberately try to make it awkward for you. It may not turn out to be so scary as it seems before hand.

Good luck.

Hi Hair and Beauty

The reason the court told you that you would see the OR on the court day is that you are running a business and probably have business assets from the shop.

Incidentally what have you decided to do regarding the shop, the fixtures and fittings and your horse?

Have you a plan of action yet ? From what you said with friends that had gone Br you can hopefully see how not to do it.

Please make sure you have had some advice as you are running a business and this will have a huge difference as to how things go

Hi H&B

Give the helpline a call they may be able to go over the forms a bit more with you.

Their number is 0800 078 9367, if they cant speak straight away then leave a name and a contact number and someone will get back to you.

Best of luck and i hope things get sorted out for you.
