Just a quick query as to peoples experience of how long it takes for the bankruptcy announcement to appear in the local paper? It really doesnt bother me, but my husband is worried about his parents finding out and wants to time it so it will hopefully go in when they are away on hols for 3 weeks at the end of March. >:$
I have told him I think it will be impossible to know or predict when it will go in, and maybe he should consider their reaction to him telling them straight as apposed to them finding out from the paper, but he wants to risk it.
By the way in my opinion, any adverse reaction from them would be as to any negative effect it would have to their own reputation...not out of any concern for us!!! MEOW!

you are right - the timing is not an exact science.

I also agree with your sentiment - it is at the difficult times like these that you really find out who your friends are.

Most folk we work with are terrified of telling family and in truth most have been rerally suprised by the extremely positive reaction and support.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what they think. If you and your family are OK and sleep better knowing you have a future then you have done the right thing.

I was in the paper within a couple of weeks.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

I've kept mine! I don't really need a reminder, but in case I should ever think about credit again it's there!

Oh no! My first car had a dodgy interior light, if you had it on it would often go off and not come back on again. I often used to forget to actually turn it off and it would be on all night!
