Hi there thank you for replying to my last post re 6 mnths in advance rent. I am nervously braving the forms for the bankruptcy and was worried as when it asks for who are the loans and cards with I dont know whether to say who it was originally with or who it has been passed onto now. Also it asks what the credit was for..... to be honest I cant remember as they were taken out years of 02/03/04 and then defaulted on roughly 05/06 time. 12 various creditors. some was for business equiment and some was general spending and some home inprovements. what would be the best thing to say. sorry to ask so many questions . i am really nervous about the bankruptcy . does the amounts need to be exact to the penny or a rough idea to the o/s amount
any help will be gratefully appreciated

Hi

where you can you should enter, for each debt, both the original lender details and the details of the collection company.

If you truly cannot recall what borrowing relates to which purchase then enter "please see section 13" in each of the "what was the debt for?" boxes and then give as much detail of the kind of things the funds were spent on in section 13 "additional information".

I couldn't remember half my debt balances or reasons as so long ago, so I used debt consolidation as reasons as I did 3 years in a DMP and 2 years in a IVA, so just used the figures outstanding when I entered the IVA, one piece of advice when you go to the court hearing try and take a friend with you, I did it all on my own with no help along the way and only though forums like this did I get the right advice, it was such a anti-climax coming out of the court as I got myself in a right state with worry and didn't even see the judge, seems so long ago but can now see the light.
