HI SAMH

We went br yesterday cost £495 each are you claiming any benifits some qualify for a £150 reduction making it £345.

Also have you taken any advice to make sure br is right for you the helpline number at the top of the page would be a good place to start.

Hi there

when you obtain your bankruptcy pack form the court you get a form stating what reductions are available depending on what benefits you receive. A good point of call would be your local Citizens Advice Bureau who have lists of your local utility companies who offer schemes to pay all/part of the deposit costs. Most utility companies offer this scheme but it is not advertised you will nedd to call into your local CAB and book an appointment with their Money Advice Officer

Hope this helps
