Hi All

If one person in the household goes BR then does the other partner have to contribute should an IPO be issued?

Thanks

John

Hi John and welcome to the forum

I went br, hubby did not. I also am a stay at home mum.

I had to work out household expenses and then put that as what hubby contributes to household. As im not working they didnt impose an IPO/A as hubby will not be responsible for my debts.

If you are working then i should imagine you will half everything (obviously depending on your wage).

Hope this helps a little

Jenny

I put my half of the bills on the forms, and then put what my partner contributes. I have an IPA, but his salary wasn't taken into account.
