HI EVERYONE
WE went br on tuesday and this morning we have received a letter from the bankruptcy protection fund ltd. IT says the fund was set up to stop the increasing number of house repossesions. our service will ensure that your creditors are repaid and the bankruptcy cancelled. Does anyone know anything about these or is it just another iva firm using a different tatic.
Its too late for us as we have already given up our house but if it is genuine it could help several people on here.
As the saying goes if it sounds too good to be true it usually is just wondered if anybody knows anything as they must have got our names and address from the insolvency service. |

They are not genuine, they are more like vultures
We had this letter too, it seems to get sent out to bankrupts who own property. They want to lend you a HUGE amount of money to reverse the bankruptcy, paying all the debts off and remortgage your house with them! So you would be talking tens of thousands of pounds back in debt right where you started
Bin the letter |

Couldn't agree more Skippy -Bin it! i just abore firms like this they are no more than vultures homing in on people in trouble. I really wish the register/gazette did not make full info available of peoples addresses etc which would certainly reduce the ability to contact people - you seem to have no privacy these days

I had one when I went BR and I don't even own my own home! Needless to say it went in the bin!

I posted on here yesterday with exactly the same problem. I went BR on the 29th Jan and I have so far received 2 letters from these vultures, one was from the Bankruptcy Protection Fund, they make it sound too good to be true, and to be honest that's what it is, they are mindless people who prey on the vulnerable and are out to make a quick buck or 2. Mine went exactly where it belongs, the bin!! Sandie |
