My partner is self employed and we have worked out a monthly average income from his last three months trading.

However, where do we put the £300 a month he spends on vehicle rental, which he rents from the company he does work for? He also uses around £50 a week in fuel in the line of his business, which we have put in our general expenses, but where does the van rental go? Should we just take it off the monthly average income?

Hi ElleB

this should be entered in section 7 under "other essential payments" which I think is squeezed between the council tax figure and the total sum.
