We've filled in two forms, one is the petition and the other was about 30 pages long!

Is that the lengthy questionnaire?

When is your court date DD?

Well, its done, he's bankrupt and it was easy, painless and such a relief!!!

The appointment was at 9.30, we were taken into the payment office where a very, very nice lady went through our papers and amended where necessary, she asked him to sign them all, he affirmed that it was all true then we waited about 10 to 15 minutes, then she brought us into the office, gave us a copy of the petition (stamped by the court!) where the OR spoke to partner on the phone.

The OR bascially needed to know about his car, he asked him for his contact numbers, gave him his number for his office if we needed to know anything later on and told him he would be in contact with him by phone or letter telling him the do's and don'ts of bankruptcy. He was then that the OR was ringing the head office of Lloyds bank to recommend that they keep his bank account open, he has no overdraft with it, so no credit.

We decided to open another bank account to be on the safe side, he was turned down by Yorkshire and Nat West, so we went to Lloyds to make sure of his position.

Good news, the lady in lloyds said you have no credit with us, you're bank has no credit facilities so you'll have no problems and they will keep it open!!!

Yesterday was wonderful, a fresh start, no one made us feel uncomfortable, they were all lovely.

It was easy than I thought, but then we had nothing to lose, no assets, only the bank account was worrying us and even thats worked out.

By the way, we were in court for a total of 45 minutes. Well the payment office in the court!
