My wife was made bankrupt 4 years ago. In december last years the trustee took possesion of our house to sell as a vacant possesion. On the sale of the property... 50% is mine... The trustee told me to stop paying the mortgage as it would be frozen. Yesterday the bank rang me and asked why the mortgage had not been paid the last two months. When i exsplained the situation they said they did not know anything about the trustee having the order! They said that i should contact the trustee to tell her that they have no knoledge of any of this happening. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? n where i actually stand? or any advice on where n wot? they think! NEXT ??? My regards M Mullins... THANKS.
My advice here would be to get in touch with your trustee/OR as soon as possible and explain the situation. There may be a breakdown in communication wither between the bank and the OR or more likely within the banking system. Don't delay speak to the OR/Trustee today

HI Melanie... I actually rang the trustee... she has said that shed informed the building society... then actually rang the building society my self... they still claim to have no record on this? The building society also said that the mortgage could go in default and then they could start legal procedings against me! I have lost my house and now noone is taking responability?
There is a lot of incompetence and misunderstanding going on there - between the bank and the OR. Whether the bank knew or not is not your fault, legally. They are supposed to check if any of their customers are going bankrupt.
