i went BR 18 dec and seen as im not working even though i put down on my forms i am an unpaid carer for my nan they want to take my car or get a third party to make an offer on it.
my car is only worth on parkers guide £300-400 but needs a few bits doing to it.
when i had my OR interview a few days after BR he said he would send the details onto the company that would sort out either a collection of the car or arrange for a third party to make an offer but i havent heard anything yet,
do they have a set time they have to do this as everyone ive asked said they act as a matter of urgency as if i have a crash then its down to the OR to sort as its their car at the moment and if anything brakes on it it wouldnt be seen as a very good asset
dont really want to ring and remind them as if they dont accept the offer i havent got a car to use till i get another 1
To be honest with you I cannot see if the car is the value you state why they would want to be interested in it. So long as it is insured, MOT'd etc I wouldn't worry. You have done your best, you have informed them of the vehicle, they may have forgotten about it! so don't remind them!

well thats what i thought they may have forgoten me seen as the OR office has been getting busier lately with loads more people going BR. or they have had a change of heart as on my forms i had my nan down as a dependant as im the only one that can take her to her hospital/doctors appointments as she has alot of illnesses and i take her shopping as she suffers from panic attacts as well if she goes out alone. and dial a cab just take you from A to B they dont help you with shopping, but i have 2 kids 1 toddler and 1 baby so it isnt really ideal to go in cabs as they have to have their car seats. but they havent notified me either way whever i can keep it or make an offer.
I would just play dumb! you've told them, they've forgotten, or more proably reaslised they shouldn't even be concerned due to circumstances and value of vehicle but forgotten to tell you. Don't remind them!
