I attended court last thursday and had my OR interview yesterday so my bankruptcy is well and truly at the gallop now..

The OR has just called me to say the the property I own (which is in negative equity and has a secured loan on it) should have been reposessed before I attended court... I didn't realise this, 3 payments have been missed but I do not have a reposession order.

What do I need to do to ensure that my property is handed back to the Halifax asap?

I am loathed to contact them as I know they will try and manipulate me into signing something I shouldn't...

HELP :o(

Hi

I don'r believe person at the OR's office is strictly correct.

Provided that you have put the potential shortfall down on the forms then there is technically not a problem.

The mortgage company will not accept the keys back until you sign one of their forms. Give them a call and advise them that you intend to hand the house back and would like the correct form to do it with.
