My husband has accrued huge debts and is considering bankrupcy. Our marriage is now over but he is continuing to live in the house while he sorts out medical/financial issues. However, I am paying the mortgage (joint names) and all other household bills. (He buys his own food but gives me no financial help). We have 3 children. Will I lose the house if he declares himself bankrupt? Although I am struggling to pay everything, I am loathe to uproot the children unless absolutely necessary.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi f008 and welcome to the forum

what happens to the property depends on the equity in it at the time your husband declares bankruptcy, which is simple enough to calculate.
And also the degree of beneficial interest your husband has in the property, this is somewhat more complex to work out.
