hi all, ive got my date at sunderland county courts for 24th march. im worried that they might think my I AND E are false as i live with parents but buy all my own food etc, and give parents £500 p.m. as they live on a pension and as we all know that isnt a great deal, will they ask for proof of my board ? also i pay for sky and broadband as its my only luxury as i dont have enough left for a social life, will this be frowned upon? thanks tim.

Hi

as a single person your monthly spend on food etc should be at or just below the £200 marker.

As far as the rental you are currently paying (not money you are giving them as this sounds like a gift) your parents, I would say that you could acquire cheaper accommodation elsewhere but in doing so you would also incur monthly utility costs and even council tax.
It will depend on the examiner appointed to your case and what view he / she takes.

They will not deliberate whether your claim is false or not, the decision is will it be allowed to continue or will they not allow that much when living at home.

For your info the court will have no interest in your I&E.It's the Official Receiver's Office that deal with these issues.
