Hi there all,

Anybody had dealings with this company? They are managing my partners student loans (approx 1200 in total owed).

We have just gone bankrupt and had our interviews with the OR with no IPA as £300 less than what we need on our outgoings.

Have explained this to the guy at Capquest but he is being totally unreasonable and expecting us to pay debt in full immediately.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

Jen x

Speak to your OR and ask their advice with regard to the debt as it depends on when student loans re taken out as to whether or not they are included in bankrupty. If they are not your partner will be still liable for the debt. Is your partner in work? If not the debt could have been deferred until he was back in work, but i am not sure what will happen as the debt has been passed to Capquest. If Capquest have 'bought' the debt it may be included in the bankruptcy as it is no longer a student loan, but they may just be 'acting' for the Student loan company i collecting the debt but you would need to speak to the OR's to confirm this
