Well everyone, I went BK yesterday morning at exactly 0959am in York. Everything went so well. I was the only one there at 0900 hours. One of the clerks went through the paperwork with me first. Said how pleased they were with the standard and glad I had done it online. Wow. I swore an oath, signed the papers and paid my money. Went back down to wait for the judge. I saw them take my file in and 15 mins later was called in to see him. What a lovely chap. Asked me to take a seat, asked if I had taken advice, then said judging by the paperwork I must have. (That was only down to the help I received on this forum. Thank you guys). He even said he could see I had had a rough time, was granting the BK and wished me all the best for the future. Just makes you feel that much better. I went back upstairs to the clerks waiting are and got called into a small office within 10 minutes and was informed the OR's office from Hull would call me in a minute and sure enough they did. I had total privacy and the OR's office were great. Even this morning I had to call the OR regarding my current cashminder account and the OR who will be handling my case called me back within 20 minutes, answered my query, had a little chat with me and sounded a really nice lady. I have got to say I could not have asked for a better outcome. Not one person I dealt with has treated me indiferently. Even the Co-op were nice and polite this morning. I could even hug a hoodie now!!

Steady on - that might be going a bit far!

Seriously, glad it all went smoothly for you.

Good luck for the future.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Hi there acm, please to hear that ysterday went smoothly for you, to be fair to the courts service, this is the standard of service everyone going through the process should receive (sadly the odd one has a difficult time)

Hope you had a far better nights sleep last night that you have had of late, well done and I hope you have the debt free future you deserve. Melanie

Just wanted to say well done, my experience was very much the same, everyone very nice and understanding.
I second your comment about the help on this site it is great. Even silly little things you feel you can ask.
