Hi,
I took the plunge and was declared bankrupt yesterday, it went well and didnt even have to c the judge and i had a brief phone call with OR whilst still at court in which they just asked about bank accounts, i think they were going to contact the banks straight away !!!!. As of this weekend my girlfriend will go on maternity leave and will be classed as unemployed as the company she works for would not renew her employment contract, this has caused a problem in that all she could claim is the standard maternity allowance of £100 per week,my question is will OR take this into account on the I&E i have put down ???? taking into account she has her own bills of approx £250 per month, i have said she is dependant on me in my SOA will they agree with this ????
thanks Dan |

The standard maternity allowance shold not be included in the Inc & Exp as this is for the baby and additional expenditure that the new baby will bring Just detail what you have coming in and going out for the whole household
Good luck on the impending birth

hi melaine,
Thanks for the reply that has put my mind at rest a little, still to have the OR interview yet, hopefully will go ok !!!!! will let you all know how it goes, if anyone is woried about the bankruptcy process then dont be its not that bad and by the sound of it nearly everyone gets treated like a normal person, my experiance at court was a good one. look at it this way its the begining of the end of all ur debt worries and it can only get better once the process has begun.
thanks Dan |
