What do I need to do to become bankrupt?

I have £15k of debt including in that 3 CCJ's (which one has led to a Warrant of Execution.

I cant afford the minimum payment to set up an I.V.A and a debt management program will take YEARS to clear the debt!

WHAT CAN I DO

I am very worried, STRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its getting too much for me now to the point i am getting regular migraines! Also I have a Young Child to Support

If you have looked at all your options and decided BR is the only option for you then the process itself is relatively easy but you need to be sure that it is what you want to do and you are aware of the ramifications ie restrictions placed on you afterwards by BR. If you do decide to go ahead and petition for own bankruptcy the insolvency service website www.insolvency.gov.uk will give you lots of useful information and you can fill in your forms on line. You will always be able to get plenty of help and advice from the experts on this site who were always there when I needed them during my BR.

The main thing is there is always a solution and your health and child are much more important.

I hope that you manage to work everything out and we are always here if you need anything

Good luck

Shirley

Hi Stressed

Try not to panic, you are in the right place. Why not call and speak to someone on the helpline? They can go through all the options with you and they are so nice, you will feel better, I promise! x

I used to get stressed but after talking to the Consumer Credit Council, they were really helpful, then I found this site which is great and realised I was not alone.
There is always someone here to talk to, once you have decided what you are going to do.
