I have a house in england and are now living in another country the house in england is up for sale and we are try to rent it the mortgage is more than the house is worth what would happen if i gave it back to the mortgage company. I also have some more dedt how would I or could I go Bankrupt in england when living in another country Thanks Simon

whether or not you can declare bankruptcy in the UK depends on which country you are now in and how long it is since you have not resided or worked in the UK.

Hi

You will need to have had the UK as your main place of interest ( home) in the last 3 years , and you will also need to now be living in certain countries ( i.e. not EU ones)

You will also then need to either fly back and present your documents at the High Court in London, alternatively you can have someone else represent you ( friend , family memeber, prefessional ) if you have a Lasting Power of Attorney registered.

Critically it depends upon which country you now live in
