Hi, I had in increase in my income for the last 6-8 month. My IPA did not change to pay the surplus ,cause the OR agreed that I can use some of the money to pay legal expenses for am employment case and to fight to keep my self on my professional register( hearing is because of my BR-relayed debts etc.). Now I moved to a less paid job(fear of being unemployed if I lose the case in the hearing ) and thinking of doing extra training and studies to prepare for better jobs.My Q is will studying with some of the arrear money ,be consider within reasonable domestic expenses, should I ask the OR to consider allowing me to pay for a course? please help.

I believe that training cost to improve your employability in the future is an allowable expense.
I'm sure an expert will be along shortly to confirm or deny this.

Hi

the OR has agreed that you may keep some of the funds for a specific purpose. If you need to redirect those funds elsewhere you would be well advised to discuss the matter with him first.

The OR often allows funds that might otherwise be claimed to be used where legal costs are being incurred. It would be unusual for those same funds to be allowed to be redirected for study purposes.
But the conversation is definitely worth having rather than dismissing the idea.
