Hi

Ive just applie for BT internet, the sales woman on the internet told me that they do a liberal credit check, so i told her that I was bankrupt, she said not to worry it should go through.

However is this the case? What is a liberal check and do undischarged bankrupts get accepted with BT or things like that?

Hi

I've not heard the term myself and yes BT will allow a bankrupt an account.

My guess is they check that you are on the electoral roll at the address you have provided and very little else. In much the same way as the bankrupt friendly banks carry out their check when you open a new account in BR.
