i own my house jointly with my x partner.we have been split 5 years.we have children.one dependant.unknown to me has has gone bankrupt(i read it in the paper).
would it be of intrest to me to get a solicitor? i dont know how much he owes yet,im not in a possition to get a large remorgage but might be able to offer a small amount for his dept.
please any advice would be welcome

Hi

The official receiver will try to establish what interest your ex has in the property.

Questions:-

1. did he declare the property on the Br forms?
2. did he contribute to the deposit
3. did he contribute to the mortgage payments
4. over what period did he live there and what is his potential share of the equity.

You cna certainly speak to tone of the forum experts who will be able to help you here.

Incidentally when did he declare bankruptcy
