Good Morning, i have been made redundant twice in one year, and now again unemployed. I am seeking new employment, but its slow. I have contacted creditors and have arrangements in place, but i just cant afford this now, i am not entitled to job seekers allowance and my only option is to go bankrupt. I have asked creditors to make me bankrupt, but they wont, and i can not afford to pay for the costs of bankruptcy, what can i do? its really getting me down, and i dont even sleep now.

This is a serious problem with so much unemployment about. Not a court in the land will make you bankrupt without funds. However, dependant upon your debt level, your assets and disposable income, you can apply for a Debt Relief Order through CAB or Payplan.

Let the forum know and we will see if you can be helped further.

Hi there
if you are in receipt of benefits you may get a reduction of the Court fee - £150 though will have to pay the OR fee of £360 (each)If you make an appointment with your local Citizens Advice Bureau they offer schemes for low income households to receive a voucher under a scheme operated by many utility companies - though you will have to ask as this is not 'offered' you would get a 'voucher' to enable the full costs of the bankruptcy to be met. You would need to make an appointment with the 'Money Advisor' at your local branch.
