I am going to declare myself bankrupt, I am living in the family home at the moment with my son (my husband has left). It is on the market at £195,000 and I owe £185,000 on the mortgate and £6,000 to the estate agent. Will I be allowed to stay in the property until it is sold or will it be repossed once I file for bankruptcy. I am paying the mortgage every month and all the bills, the only thing I am behind in is all the credit card & loans which total £17,000. The debt is in my name only. Also the house is is joint names with my husband but he is not contributing to the mortgage and bills.
