I graduated last year and cannot afford to pay back my overdrafts (HSBC- £1500, Natwest- £1600) and credit crda (£600). I am temping at the moment and normally earn minimum wage. I don't own anything worth over £100, rent my home and don't own a car. Both Natwest and HSBC are demanding their money back, which I cant afford to pay. Would I be eligle for bankrupcy, and if so how would re-payments to the banks work? Thanks for your help, Louise

Hi louise

I sounds to be like you could be a prime candidate for a Debt Relief Order. You can find out more from you local CAB office. They are not much different from Bankruptcy, but are cheaper.
