Have just recieved IPA from OR saying neither myself or hubby have enough DI to make payment,[this is after we contested original IPA and sent of reciepts etc] but must inform him within 21 days of any increase in salary. I am due an increment next month posssibly another £30, and hubby recently started new job so he may get an extra £70 next month, although in 6 months this extra will go towards his pension, as he joins after 6 months.
Do I tell OR of forthcoming increases even though they will happen after 21 day period? We are due to be dicharged any time now as sent of IPQO weeks ago. I dont mind paying an IPA but unsure of what to do, if i say anything feel I am tempting fate as these increases may even occur after discharge??

Thanks for any advice

Michelle

My understanding is that you have 21 days from your pay increase to tell the OR of it.

So if you are not getting pay rise until next month say 15th July, i would think you have 21 days from the 15th July to inform the OR.

Hope this makes sense.

My word is not gospel though so i would see what others say abou this. It may turn out that you get your pay rise after your discharge then happy days!!!

Good luck

I agree, you would have 21 days from it starting, otherwise you could tell them now and it not go ahead, and therefore waste everyones time. so 21 days after it starts imho.

I agree that it's 21 days from receiving the increase. However, unless you have received notification of early discharge (or have been automatically discharged) you must inform the OR even though you have received an IPOQ as it doesn't automatically mean ED.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
