Hi I submitted my forms to the court last friday and have a telephone interview in two weeks. Can anyone tell me when you are officially BR. Is it when the forms are in with the county court or after your OR interview. I was given a case number to quote to any creditors after I submitted my forms and took the oath. I handed over the BR money and got a receipt. Am I now a bankrupt person? Or does that come later?

You are officially bankrupt as soon as you leave the court.

Thank you Jan. I had my answer in the post today. from my local county court saying that I was declared BR on 3rd July at 1035 am. In front of judge M Taylor. This was 30 mins after I left the building. I am not sure how it makes me feel. I do feel its a bit soon to take off the sack cloth and ashes. or is it!! As I do feel guity.

Don't feel guilty. You did your best to pay your debts, as we all have. It just couldn't be done.

You've got a fresh start now, hold your head up high and I wish you good luck in your new debt free life.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
