so here i am all forms filled in and sworn....court date on the 23rd and now just waiting........

however.....whats next.....! I have no idea what to expect on the day or what happens afterwards. I know i do the deal with the judge and then i also have a telephone interview at some point but other than that i am totallu clueless andhave no idea what is going to happen!

do baliffs come and strip my home bear? i rent and i am a single mum on benefits which is the whole reason for the bankruptcy in the first place!!! i dont really have anything of real worth as anything i did have has gone to their bits towards the debts, i surrendored my mortgage so that has gone and thats about it

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

You may not even see the judge, some people don't. You should speak to the OR afterwards for a short time and then a full interview will be arranged, which is usually done over the phone.

The bailiffs will not visit your home, your property is still yours, no one will take it from you.

When you leave court on the 23rd you will be debt free!

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

The OR is the Offical Reciever, he/she deals with your bankruptcy after the court e.g. letting all the creditors know and also working out whether you will need to pay and IPA or not (this is if you have any surplus money from your wages over £99 you will have to pay towards debts for 36months, but not everyone has one - I dont).

Hope this helps
